A genuine love of all things food, cooking, and health related, dating back to her youth, is what pushed Erica in the direction of enrolling in a professional culinary training program in 2017 at the Natural Gourmet Institute in New York City. Her culinary education led her to the test kitchen at Food52 where she had the opportunity to fine tune her baking and pastry making skills in a professional environment. While there, she also baked for the likes of the Food Network, the Kitchn, and King Arthur Flour, and simultaneously delved into food styling, video production, and photography. This wealth of experience solidified her confidence in the kitchen, and allowed her to branch out and develop her own recipes in her spare time. A few years down the line, SUGARDOVESWEETS was born! She proudly bakes with high quality traditional, all natural ingredients, many of which are organic.
As a devout Christian called to spread the Good News, this culinary endeavor, most importantly, serves as her small yet mighty ministry. Each order is accompanied by a thoughtfully chosen verse from the Bible with the intention of uplifting your spirit through the hope and promise of God’s word.
Being able to integrate her love of God and of baking is the ultimate blessing for Erica, and she hopes that her genuine passion for what she does is detected in every last bite.
