Bolt Coffee out to encourage and facilitate community in the places that we find ourselves. In 2014, Bolt laid down its roots in the The Dean Hotel. Just a few years later, they expanded to a second location at the RISD Museum. From 2014 through the beginning of 2018, Bolt served as a multi-roaster cafe featuring a number of standout roasters over the years. This era laid the foundation of what would become their roasting program.
Bolt began roasting in February of 2018 and has since steadily refined and grown their program. Now entering its third year of roasting, Bolt aims to highlight the inherent quality, nuance, and balance of each coffee they bring in and share it with community close and far alike. From obsessive roasting and quality control measures, Bolt is proud of each and every bag that leaves their roastery on Smith Hill in Providence, RI.
