Ethiopia, long believed to be the birthplace of coffee, has a rich history of coffee farming and traditions. Ethiopian beans, especially from the Yirgacheffe region, are among our favorites. The country’s fertile volcanic soil fills the coffee cherries with bright fruity notes and honey-like sweetness.
This Fair Trade, organic coffee was processed using the natural method, in which the beans are placed on raised beds to be dried in the sun. The coffee is indulgently sweet with deep dark chocolate notes and a blueberry-like sweetness with a full body and muted acidity.
