Established in 2015, Mukwano Coffee Roaster is primarily operated in Rawlins, Wyoming, but has a roastery located in Casper. Their goal is to help people learn about what coffee is, how you can brew it, and ways to change your coffee drinking habit into a coffee tasting experience. They want to help the average person experience high quality specialty coffee at home daily. In Wyoming, coffee keeps everyone going, whether it's on the ranch, the oil field, or enjoying some of the country's top hunting and fishing spots. They want their coffee to be a must-bring along with you, so when they got the ability to share their craft outside of Wyoming with Honey & Roses, they were thrilled!
"Mukwano gwange" means “my friend” in Uganda. Mukwano Coffee was started when the founders discovered that coffee was the main cash crop in Uganda. Their aim was to source primarily East African coffee from small farmers. The region had a special place in the development of the business and they believed in its economic development through coffee farming. Many of these small farmers are feeding their families and sending their children to school because the average person drinks at least one cup of coffee per day. They source beans from widows, small farmers and those who are giving back to their communities with education and clean water. In addition, its distinctive fruit filled flavor and full bodied aroma are unbeatable! Coffee that tastes so good and does so much for the community is a great benefit. Hopefully you can enjoy every delicious cup knowing you're making a difference!
