Pumpkin Spiced Latte Recipe
The start of fall can only mean one thing: long awaited pumpkin spice season is here! With the weather turning crisp and leaves beginning to make their final descent, many of us are eager to stay home with a warm beverage on gloomy days, so we’ve picked the best recipe to do just that. The pumpkin spice latte has become a staple sign of chilly autumn days. We can’t wait to share our version perfectly made with some warm blends from our shop! Best of all, the recipe is so simple you can easily get creative and experiment with your own flavors
2 cups milk of choice
2 tablespoons pumpkin puree (or more for a stronger flavor)
2 tablespoons coconut sugar 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
4 shots of espresso or 1 cup strong coffee
Whipped cream optional for topping
Start by adding your choice of milk, pumpkin puree and sugar to a saucepan over medium heat. Make sure to whisk ingredients until fully blended and do not let the mixture reach a boil.
Remove saucepan from heat and add in the remaining ingredients (vanilla extract, pumpkin pie spice and coffee) to the pan. We love using our strong nutty flavored coffees from our roasters - check out Alma Coffee Roasters “Soulmate”.
Mix generously until fully blended. Pour the mixture into two mugs and be sure to top off your latte with a dollop of whipped cream and pumpkin pie spice for garnish!
For an iced latte, let the latte mixture cool until it comes to room temperature or place it in the fridge for faster cool-down time. Pour it over a tall glass of ice and serve
